Our BLS Renewal class is a condensed version of the full BLS course, created for those who already hold an active AHA certification. Healthcare professionals will refresh their knowledge of high-quality CPR and AED use, both solo and as part of a team response. This essential training covers adult, child, and infant care—making it relevant in any clinical setting. A new American Heart Association card is issued immediately after class.
Designed for non-clinical healthcare staff, school personnel, workplace responders, and anyone interested in emergency preparedness, this course delivers well-rounded, hands-on training. Topics include CPR, AED, opioid overdose recognition, choking relief, bloodborne pathogens, medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental response.

All equipment is provided, and classes are taught by experienced instructors at a time that fits your schedule. Just reserve your time slot—we’ll take care of the setup. Blended Learning is a flexible way to earn your certification. First, take the online course (link provided) through the American Heart Association’s website. Then, share your completion certificate with us—either by sending a photo or bringing it with you to your skills session. Once you complete the hands-on portion, you’ll receive your official AHA card.

What class should I take?
If you are taking a class in order to meet a workplace requirement, it is important you ask your employer the exact name of the class you need.
Generally, Basic Life Support (BLS) is intended for those in the healthcare setting directly working with patients; First Aid CPR and AED is generally for work-sites, safety personnel, caregivers, school staff, and staff working in a medical setting but do not provide direct patient care, or anyone who would like training in these skills.
Will the instructor come to my location or business in Kingsport to teach a class?
Yes! If you are a group or business, we can come to your location. We will bring our equipment and run the class at your location for your convenience. We would need to have a minimum of three students or the equivalent compensation if the minimum number of three is not met. Please contact us to set up a time that works best!

Are there Blended Learning options?
Yes! You may choose to do Blended Learning for any of the American Heart Association classes we offer, except the Family and Friends course.
Simply complete the chosen American Heart Association course on the AHA website (links below). When this online portion is completed, you may send us an image of your certificate from the online portion or bring the image with you when you do the skills portion. You will then receive your American Heart Association card on completion of the skills portion with us.
